The woven gabion is woven from a machine, then cut and folded into various modules such as gabion baskets, reno mattresses, anti-fall nets and a bag.
The gabion wire is a combination of 270g/m2 hot-dip galvanized wire with a diameter of 2.7/3.4mm. Recently, 5% or 10% Alu-Zinc wire (Galfan) has been applied.
The most popular gabion meshes are 80*100mm and 60*80mm.
The most popular gabion modules are 1*1*1m, 2*1*1m baskets, 1*1*0.5m, 2*1*0.5m mattresses, or 2*15m, 2*25m rockfall nets.
The wire mesh used to make the gabion strictly conforms to EN10223-3 and the gabion also meets the requirements of ASTM A975-97.
The tensile strength of all wires and running wires used in gabion containers is 350-500 N/mm according to EN10223-3, 2 BS1052/80 and ASTM A641-97. (Wire pointing to the wire before making the mesh).
